AFGHANISTAN TO GREECE: Refugee Evacuation

Since August of 2021, Amed Khan has led extensive efforts to evacuate vulnerable women leaders and human rights defenders from Afghanistan. Through his tenacity, grit, and incredible resourcefulness, Khan chartered planes and coordinated with foreign officials to ensure that those fleeing Afghanistan would have a safe landing place in Greece. Khan successfully managed evacuations for over 1,500 Afghan evacuees.

Nadia’s Initiative is on a mission to create a world where women are able to live peacefully, and where communities that have experienced trauma and suffering are supported and redeveloped.
